Being an official Salesforce and MuleSoft partner allows Revelant to work with real innovators. Each project and champion are different, but we hit the motherlode when we began working with Kevin Jones, Chief Information Officer at the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS).
Last week, Kevin was awarded the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 2020 CTO of the Year Award. In a city like Indy, with a focus on tech companies, this award meant some tough competition! We weren’t surprised Kevin rose to the top. In April, Kevin’s vision for DCS was outlined in this video, created with the goal of illustrating how MuleSoft and Salesforce can deliver multiple, integrated solutions designed to bring real business value not only to our customers, such as DCS, but to their customers as well. In this case, children, families and employees of DCS.
A vision is nothing without a strategic implementation plan. Kevin’s vision encompassed 6 large projects designed to target areas at DCS in need of improvement: employee attrition/retention, duplication of resources/process, access to real time critical case information, feedback loop quality, asset tracking, quality training and onboarding and of course, cost savings. By having an over-arching plan in place to address these pain points, the end-result for DCS was cost savings, employee retention and superior service to its constituents.
